Hiring Requirements

R & R Transportation, Inc. is basically a reefer company, so you need to have the following requirements in order for apply for employment:

• At least 6 months of reefer experience.
• To be at least 24 years old.
• Three years of driving experience. (CDL)
• A valid drivers license and CDL endorsement.  Hazmat is not required, but worth a higher wage.

Driving record:  No DUI or Reckless Driving in the last 5 years, no more then 3 speeds in one year or 4 speeds in three years.

You can apply four different ways:

1. You can call us at 1-800-726-7442 and request an application be send to your home address
2. We can fax you  a two page application, possible a third page.  If the company that we are inquiring about your past employment requires a signed waiver, we need to have that signed by you.
3. We have an online application on this site.  It is best to call us after you have sent this to us to make sure the application was received.
4. We can do a phone application, but to expedite this we like you to have the following information ready:

             At least 8 years previous employment , the dates and phone numbers of places of employment. 

On all of the above we will run a current DAC and license report and we do have to verify at least 3 years driving experience.

If you have an abandonment on your DAC record, you need not reply.

We do require that all drivers have a cell phone and to check call into the office where you were dispatched each day.  These calls are very important to our customer base, they want to know where their product is at any given time.  It also enables us to plan reload dates, which keeps your truck loaded and on the road and just to make sure you are okay out there. 

 We have cell phones available for purchase, but if you do have your own phone, we will pay $50.00 of your cell phone bill each month. 

We hire out of all 48 states. Our routes have changed recently, so you can look to be out no more then two weeks across the United States,  except for the North Central States (MT, ID, WY, ND, SD, NE), which you will be out 4-5 weeks at a time.  Louisiana and Florida are tough states to get you home so you can look to be out a good six weeks at a time, maybe longer.  We hire both solo and team drivers.
